Shivam’s interests lie in studying the relations between nature and society within social-ecological systems. His master’s dissertation delved into the persistence of agrarian livelihoods and novel space-making within smallholder Adivasi communities facing dam-induced submergence.

Marjita is drawn towards discourses around political ecology, sustainability, and restoration ecology. She is trained in conducting quantitative and qualitative research, with field experience in Madhya Pradesh and Assam.
